Mad Machines

Second and, alas, last (for now) adventure played with the hosts of Mad Machines. After exiting Time Machine and taking a break, we prepare to go back to playing the other gem: Birth Machine. Kika and Matt still with us 💓. As in the previous episode, Arturo, Doctor Mad’s robot assistant 🤖, tests us again with a heating puzzle, in view of a really tough room. Then Antonio and Giulia, our Masters also for this episode, lead us into the room.

The scenography is spectacularly functional to the story! Everything, absolutely everything, inside the room is created and designed according to the plot, that is, the entire journey from the moment of conception 👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏼, through pregnancy 🤰🏼 to birth 👨🏼‍🍼. The story is performed in a sublime way, without ever falling into the vulgar, but rather maintaining an always playful tone.

The logic of the room is initially consequential and it would ruin it otherwise rendering: so “enjoy” the experience by letting yourself be carried away by the puzzles. Later, you can then divide the tasks to speed up the game. Moreover, the puzzles are fun, non-trivial and extremely original. Of course, the very originality of the theme also makes it necessary, but the resulting representation is sublime, so: give these people a medal! 🎖️

As a style, we have an exclusive use of the second generation; you’ll not even find a padlock inside the room. I very much appreciated this coherence with the theme of the room 🧩 ; indeed, introducing first generation elements would have ruined, in my opinion, the atmosphere so masterfully created.

The timer (I love) is expressed in weeks of gestation (40), in which each week corresponds to a minute and a half: so don’t be alarmed if you don’t come to terms with the classic time count. The 4 of us were born premature 5 weeks in advance: you do the calculations. 😉

Some tips: the room is available in English 🇬🇧 and doesn’t require special motor skills. The difficulty of the puzzles and the playful environment also make it suitable for novice escapers and teenagers.

It’s definitely one of our favorite rooms and we can’t wait to go back to the third room!

Mad Machines doesn’t give a difficulty level of the room. In our opinion, it’s high.

You have already been here. We’ve all been there, but none of us remember it.

Today, thanks to his extraordinary invention, Dr. Mad gives you the chance to relive your birth. But will you be able to do it again? You only have 9 months to come into the world!
